Investment Casting Silversmithing Projects

I crafted a diverse range of silversmithing projects, utilizing various techniques in their creation. With the exception of the mountain pendant, all projects involved investment casting. The turtle and salamander pieces were brought to life using 3D-printed molds I designed with Fusion 360. Following the mold creation, I printed the wax components using a resin printer and proceeded to investment cast them.

For the diamond pendant with inlay and the bronze belt, I took a hands-on approach, carving them from wax using a saw and a selection of files. Subsequently, both pieces underwent investment casting—the belt in a bronze pour and the pendant in silver. Following the casting of the pendant, I meticulously inlaid stones into its three pockets.

The completion of these projects involved a diverse set of finishing techniques, including meticulous sanding to achieve a high polish and the application of a patina for added character.
