Shop Bot Resin Dresser (In Progress)

Currently engaged in a dresser resin project, I've conceptualized a cavity inspired by my Oregon home, taking the shape of the iconic Columbia River. My childhood memories of kitesurfing in the gorge, crabbing and fishing along the Oregon coast, and swimming in the river near Portland serve as the driving force behind this design. Crafting this dresser serves as a tangible reminder of my roots and cherished moments, bringing the essence of home into my dormitory.

The overarching engineering plan for this endeavor involves utilizing a shopbot to carve out the specified cavity. Subsequently, the cavity will be filled with a vibrant blue resin. Grooves for the shelf joint will routed out, and the various components will be securely glued together. This process aims to encapsulate the essence of my Oregonian experiences within the functional and artistic elements of the dresser.
